Ian
has practised Karate for thirty years now, for ten of those years he was on the England squad, winning many trophies
and medals.
He founded the club in 1987, since then he has trained many people to their black belt and beyond.
Rebecca is a fully
qualified 3rd dan black belt. She has practised the sport since 1989 and has been teaching for seventeen years.
Many of
their students have also been very successful at tournaments and feature regularly in the local paper.
In order to keep up-to-date with their instructing they both attend
karate courses on a quarterly basis.
The
club is a member of the Shukokai Karate Union, which is recognised by Sport England (formally known as the English
Sports Council)
