QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Will I ever be able to remember all those complicated moves?
When you first start it seems as though your arms and legs have a will of their own. However don't let that put you off, with a little perseverance and regular training you will remember

How long will I have to wait before I take my first belt?

Training twice a week you should be able to take your first belt about six weeks after your first lesson

Is it going to cost me a lot of money to get started?
There is an initial outlay, however the cost compares favourably with most sports and pastimes

How often should I train?
Twice a week, although it is still possible to learn a great deal if you can only attend once a week

The lessons seem disciplined, is there a reason for this?
Yes, discipline helps to teach responsibility and respect for other people. We teach that Karate is about self-defence and not fighting

In what order are the colours of belts?
Starting with the lowest: Red, Yellow, orange, green, blue, purple, 1st brown, 2nd brown, 3rd brown, black
