Q. Will I ever be able to remember all those complicated moves?

 A. When you first start it seems as though your arms and legs have a will of their own. However don't let that put you off, with a little perseverance and regular training you will remember.

Q How long will I have to wait before I take my first belt?

A. Training twice a week you should be able to take your first belt about six weeks after your first lesson.

Q Is it going to cost me a lot of money to get started?

A. There is an initial outlay however the cost compares favourably with most sports and pass times.

Q How often should I train?

A. Twice a week, although it is still possible to learn a great deal if you can only attend once a week.

Q The lessons seem disciplined, is there a reason for this?

A. Yes, discipline helps to teach responsibility and respect for other people. We teach that Karate is about self-defence and not fighting.

Q In what order are the colours of belts?

A. Starting with the lowest. Red, Yellow, orange, green, blue, purple, 1st brown, 2nd brown, 3rd brown, black.
