The league table is designed to encourage students to become the best they can. We do this by awarding
points for all the things listed below. We only work on a positive basis therefore points are never deducted as a form
of punishment
COURSES
10 points Per course or squad attended.
TOURNAMENTS
10 points for entering and taking part in a competition. (If your category
is cancelled and no alternative is offered you will still be awarded the points).
10 points for third place in a competition.
15 points for second place in a competition.
20 points for first place in a competition.
GRADING
10 points per grading.
10 points for junior cadets, scoring 35 or more taking red belt.
10 points for senior cadets and adults, scoring 40 or more taking red belt.
10 points for junior cadets, scoring 35 or more taking any other grade.
(Excluding black belt).
10 points for senior cadets and adults, scoring 70 or more taking any other
grade. (Excluding black belt).
40 points for jumping a grade.
60 points for passing black belt grading.
AWARDS
25 points for receiving progress award.
25 points for Competitor of the day award.
ATTENDANCE AND BONUSES
1 point per lesson attended.
10 points for every month attended without an absence.
TIME KEEPING
1 point per lesson for every student arriving for training on time. (This
means, you are ready to start at 6.45pm in the first class and 8.00pm in the second class).
CONCENTRATION
1 point per lesson for every student who concentrates throughout the lesson. (This means, not having to be told to listen and making sure you watch what you are
being shown e.g.).
Age and ability will be taken into consideration.
ETIQUETTE
1 point per lesson for every student who shows good conduct. (This means, not sitting down whilst the kata is on, not having to be told to stop being silly, especially
in the second class).
Age and ability will be taken into consideration.
Concentration and etiquette are aimed at cadets; however just so you don't cry
adults can pick up points on these sections.
